THE ARTIST

At a very young age, I chose to live my life following my heart, lead by my passions for the arts and all animals.

At the age of 5, my poetry was first published in the local newspaper, and I was chosen to emcee my kindergarten graduation. Thus my stage career began!!!

All through my young years I was recognized for my abilities in art, music and drama. And all the while, I was always surrounded by animals, which I believe to be my first true love and the energy behind everything that drives all of my other desires.

As an adult, I journeyed into a lucrative and successful career in the music industry as a professional vocalist. I was the voice in television and radio commercials such as Maybeline, Miller Lite Genuine Draft, Kroger, 7-up, Seven's Seas Salad, and Pillsbury. (Yes, that was me singing on the Pillsbury Dough Boy commercials!)

I did a season on NBC Friday Nights as a house band singer with the Jonathon Branmeier Show, and sang on countless dance music albums, as well as appearing in Chicago Blues clubs as a solo artist.

My heart called me West and I moved from Chicago to the Los Angeles area where I expanded on my career as a harmony singer touring with major acts and singing on movie soundtraks.

It was during this time that the Grammy Foundation took notice of my paintings while being a member of the band Berlin, and I became the first signed artist to the GRAMMY ART OF MUSIC program, having my work shown alongside the paintings of Sir Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Grace Slick, and the late Jimi Hendrix. During my participation, I was featured by the Grammy Foundation in a solo art show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and aquired many wonderful clients who have my art, including David Foster, Al Jarreau, Terri Nunn, and Prince.

After a great solid run in the music industry, I decided to stop touring and focus my life on my arts and raising awareness of the treatment of animals, chosing to live a do no harm vegan lifestyle, helping to rescue animals in need.

I created my own animal care company, and also began photographing people's pets, which then lead me to painting their portraits, and now into a thriving business that supports my rescued animals, including a disgarded showhorse found starving, now saved and living the good life!

ART FOR MY ANIMALS is simply that: art that I create to support the continued well being of rescued animals!!

Although I have lived a large life on stage and out in the world, I have never been happier creating beautiful one of a kind custom pet paintings of people's beloved companions. I have met so very many wonderful people through this work, and what better way to meet someone than through the heart of an animal??
